The Milky Way which is the home of our solar system has been formed by more then a billion stars. The Milky Way has a protective sheild the nothing can hit it ex.(space rocks )etc. The other galaxies are not on their own as for this one its just by its self. Earth is realted with The Milky Way because we are in side the galaxy. The Milky Way is actually very giant and its mass is probably 750 billion and a trillion solar mass and its diameter is about 100,000 light years. Astrounts believe that hydrogen clouds have revealed that The Milky Way is a sprial galaxy.The Milky Way belongs to the local group, a smaller of 3 large and over 30 small galaxies and is the second largest (after the Andromeda Galaxy M31)
